Thomas Florschuetz

Thomas Florschuetz est né en Allemagne en 1957. Photographer Thomas Florschuetz is best known for his large-scale montages of images of his body, which he called “Early Bodyfigures” (1980-1990). In these works, Florschuetz explored his interest in vanity and subjectivity, documenting a sort of performance in which he revealed various parts of himself—hands, feet, and face—to the camera. His work since has focused on capturing a fragmented experience of architectural and natural forms and spaces, playing on the difficulty of perceptual distinction between interior and exterior. And in recent series, he has photographed flowers and airplanes, presenting close-up shots from various angles in combination in an effort to produce a total visual experience of his subjects.

Heinz Hajek-Halke fait partie de ces très rares artistes demeurés en Allemagne durant la guerre et qui tentèrent après 1945 de renouer avec le fil d'une pratique d'avant-garde qui avait été la leur dans les années 20.Réalisée à partir du fonds très complet conservé par le photographe Michael Ruetz, cette exposition réunit une centaine de pièces originales, dont la plupart sont des grands formats.Heinz Hajek-Halke (Berlin 1898-1983) vient à la photographie après des études à la Königlichen Kunstschule de Berlin et travaille pour l'agence Presse-Photo de 1923 à 1933.Photographe illustrateur il pratique avec succès le photomontage dans un esprit très dadaïste et enseigne à la Kunstgewerbeschule.Des images comme "Nu noir et blanc" sont très largement reprodui

Manfred Hamm was born in 1944 in Zwickau in Saxony, he spent his childhood in Cologne, and has been living in the West of Berlin since 1967. He is one of the most renowned contemporary architecture and industrial photographers - the complexity of his photographic work is quite unparalleled. Hamm's central interest is owed to the architecture of the height of the industrial age in 19th century Europe. In the last years over 30 of his books have been published, all related to European topics. Among them books about coffeehouses, coal-mines, the steel and textile industry, churches, and "Railway Stations in Europe".
